We may be biased but when we think of Tasmanian hairdressers one of the first names that springs to mind is Robert Matthews. His underlying motto is that when you love what you do success just comes naturally. Based upon this premise Rob has built a very successful and fulfilling career in the hairstyling industry. With his talent and creative mind he has won countless awards over the years in not only Tasmania, but in national hair competitions too.
Rob has created an awesome environment and culture at Convict Cutters not only for his employees but, for our wider clientele as well.
Georgina
Georgina is the co-owner of Convict Cutters and has been an especially important part of the Convict family for over 20 years. Her infectious laugh and beautiful smile will immediately put you at ease. Georgina has been an ambassador for KMS and has styled hair for Oyster Magazine in Sydney as well as winning numerous awards Australia wide. Always striving for perfection, she is passionate about running the business behind the scenes while keeping us progressive within the hairdressing community. Together with her gentle, graceful manner and impressive styling skills, she is a credit to our industry.

Germaine
Germaine is our salon manager and her warming nature meets you on arrival at reception Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Germaine is available for appointments for the rest of the week, her long-term love of the industry ensuring you are in considerate, experienced hands.
Germaine ensures the salon is operating in an effective and efficient manner, but her priority is always our clients, their care is her passion.

Jessica
Jess has the unique ability to combine fun and professionalism everyday. Her eye for detail and skill ensures a great experience, from the consultation through to the wonderful head massage and the final result.
Jess is prompt and efficient while engaging her clients with entertaining stories and amusing everyone with her light banter.
Nicole
Nicole is creative and quirky, whether you are up for a chat or prefer a quiet service to relax, Nicole has your salon experience covered. Highlighting is her superpower, including soft blended highlights and balayage. When Nicole is not in the salon she is a busy entertaining; dancing,singing and acting her way through life.

Renee
Renee brings a wealth of experience and knowledge and is an invaluable piece of our Convict team. Her kind, nurturing personality intertwined with her honed skills make an appointment with Renee a delightful experience. She loves being creative with cuts and colours, sculpting the hair with care and precision. If you’re after a new perfect look Renee loves providing this time and time again for her beloved clients.

Georgia’s happy place is here at Convict Cutters.
Her ability to make instant connections and her love of creating lasting relationships make her a favorite with staff and clients alike.
Hairdressing is her passion, especially the creative aspects of innovative coloring techniques and advanced knowledge of our product partners, Goldwell and Kerastase.

Kim has graced our industry both locally and interstate for many years as a salon owner and within the training sector. Her quiet and gentle demeanor together with her immersible skill and knowledge makes an appointment with Kim a highly pleasurable experience.
